The Sacramental Journey, Communion:
1. The second passage point of personal enlightenment comes when one recognizes
themselves as an individual person distinct from their family or community.
2. Such a realization triggers subtle spiritual and psychological changes which bring one
face-to-face with one's own responsibilities for oneself, and creating the life and the
world in which one chooses to live.
3. When a person claims personal responsibility for their thoughts, their feelings, their words,
and the actions which spring from them, they have accessed a portion of this rite of
personal power.
4. What follows is the understanding that every other person is equally responsible for their
thoughts, feelings, words, and actions, and the necessity to honor that responsibility for
self and others. Honor One Another.
5. It is to the benefit of each member therefore to approach all relationships with
consciousness and reverence for that which is created through them; when one realizes
that every person in one's life is there for a sacred purpose, all interactions are holy and
meaningful.
6. This holy communion is more a state of mind than a ceremony or event, and is to be lived
as such to the extent possible. However, if a rite or celebration is desired, members are
encouraged to confer with their cleric for such purpose. |
